African Geese

Geese get a bad wrap for being mean animals. That couldn't be further from the truth (unless it's breeding season and then they get a little testy). These Africans started my goose journey. They are very personable and would rather spend their days eating grass and swimming instead of biting your ankles. These are production Africans so they aren't heavy and don't have a dewlap but make up for it in the amount of eggs the girls will give you every season. They outlaid any other goose on the property in just their first laying season. They also make phenomenal parents with each goose taking a turn watching after and caring for the babies.
